Grateful Dead members joining with other bands, especially Jerry and David Grishman, Mickey Hart's world approach to drums and music, Mickey bringing in the finest young talent and making it beautiful, and Phil and his experiments with the Gods of guitar. Also the Jerry Garcia Band which I think between that and his bluegrass gigs, he was the happiest. The music sounds so much better when the listener can appreciate how much better the music sounds when the musician is truly making music. Not just a rythm, but a consciousness and picture that people can relate to and feel.
