My first show was Highgate, VT '04. My buddies brother hooked us up with a job the day prior to the show. We started at 8pm the night before putting up orange snow fence around the area of the show. We worked all throught the night into the morning till around 8am. We got tickets to the show and some pocket cash for our work. The morning of the show they feed us some breakfast. While I was sitting there the tour bus pulled up, and out walked the band! We got to listen backstage to the entire sound check.
Later that day the 100,000 people began to filter in. A few of us found a pond to take a dip in and get some of the nights work washed off.
I spent the rest of the day meeting great people and prepairing for the show.
I slept through the opening band, and when it was time for the Dead, I was up and ready to get my groove on!
I'll never forget my great experience!
