a beautiful show in a super intimate venue outside under the stars...
I knew this but slipped in late...dratz.
Second set is a good one....
With such appreciation!
Anybody know how to download from this site on a mac? I can't right click.
Hold the control button and click the mouse, or you can hold 2 fingers on mouse pad and click the bar on the mouse pad for a laptop. Both are the same as right clicking. When the choices pop up click download as. I just put it on my desktop and make sure it opens with iTunes. It should autimaticaly put it in your library. Hope this helps...
If you do not have a two button mouse or Apple Mighty Mouse, hold down the "control" key to activate the contextual menu and select "Save Link As..." That should do it. You can also just click on the link, wait till the browser loads the song and then go to the "File" menu and select "Save Page As.." Either way, your golden :)
Last year the 30 Days of Dead automatically downloaded into an album Titled 30 Days of Dead. This year, they just randomly drop into downloaded songs without an album. The titles are severely abbreviated. Is there a way to group them into an album, (not a play list), and rename the songs in iTunes?
Right click on the song in your library.
Left click on "get info".
Everything you ever wanted to change is there. You can put the song name instead of the one that down loaded, name the album what you want. Put track x of x, etc...It's a breeze. I take the shows date and venue and put it into the comments section 'cause I'll never remember it on my own!!
i must admit, i have no talent, either (c:
i just did the same as last year ... which was creating a new folder, labelling it '30 days of dead' (this year, adding 'volume 2') and saving the music there. (i should mention that i use windows media player.)
the artwork i got by right-clicking on the '30 days of dead' logo, and then pasting the album art to my folder's icon.
i like the logos, and they're just different enough from each other. also, for whatever reason, the background colour for last year's logo was black, and the background colour for this year's logo is off-white ,,. which is a real bonus, in my humble opinion.
i hope this helps :)
Canyon Critter posted some beauties last year that i used!
These tunes are making my ipod smile!!
So then, has anyone created cool cover art for 2 yet? I would but I have no talent toward that whatsoever...
i guess they don't post the winners this time around, seems like they did last year, but maybe for privacy reasons? not that it really matters but it would add to the fun to see who won, if only just to say woohoo! look at you! nobody has logged in to rub our noses in it yet (in a fun and friendly way of course) and declare their victory, perhaps afraid of someone tracking them down and trying to take their cheeseboard. maybe the winner could post their sweet success so they could collect the glory and some congrats from fellow contestants.?? well at least thats what i was thinking at this moment.
Can anyone list whats been put up so far? I unfortunately missed a couple due to work and just spacing out :) Is there anyplace to go to get the songs missed?
not sure if there is a difference in browsers, but I can see the past days towards the top right hand side of the page...click on those dates.....
Jerry's croaky voice gave it away.
After doing some digging around im going to guess its a concert in 1985. Not going to say month or day cause I want others to enjoy this awesome game. So if you find the concert im talking about, you will probably agree. My other hint is if your a fan of the Broncos its in the city of one of our rivals, and I don't mean Oakland. They didn't play many the music never stopped Good luck hunting and have fun! Even found a gem when I was digging around in the early 1980's check it out its an interview/concert http://www.archive.org/details/gd1981-00-00.interview.90795.flac16
Im just making a general guess here, the keys indicate something of the early 80's or mid 80's like 85 in particular. Jerry's voice is still pretty decent at this point in time so im going to have to guess in the early 80's not so much 85 but then again 85 held many gems so I could be wrong.
Thanks for the great music and dandy prizes! I recently saw Furthur in Monterey (first time they played the Fairgrounds since Monterey Pop Fest!) and I was completely blown away! I'm looking forward to the next west coast tour! Have fun all you east coasters - it's sure to be a good time! Peace.
starlight theater 9/3/85?
This one was a bit cryptic since this combo occurred regularly. But the combo is what makes it easier. If I had to pick out just one of the songs I dont know if I could've done it. There was another combo played that night--much rarer.
Nice prize too. Those photos are not cheap. So much for "sweeping out the attic' type prizes.
Any mac users have any tips on how to download these? No right click/save as option so all i can do is stream
at the same time that you click on the download link. This will give you choices as to what to do with it. I chose to save it, then dragged it into my iTunes window.
Thanks Jolie, i didn't know i could "right click" with the control key.
I don't have a mac, so I can't help there. I would be willing to send them to you. I can either try email or wait until the end and send you all of them on a flash drive.
thanks 5cent, i've got them downloaded now.
...is a perfect example of some ephemera to go in the E72 box.
This is from my first bootleg with either song on it !!! Knew it instantly ............for once ...hehe.........Hey I might have submitted my guess more than once.....my Charter connection *$#@s !!...sorry.....same answer on all submissions....
And a Big thanks for doing this !!!!!!!.....D:=
The stars were bright that night!
I was actually at this show. Yea!! It was a full moon that night in an outdoor amphitheater in my hometown.
really liked this venue, too bad they never played there again.
Mama mama so many roads.....
One of the best versions of a great song.
So happy you guys are doing this again!! Thanks for the great music!!
I am not even remotely able to figure out the shows without help from people here, but this one I was able to find using archive.org....what a blast...and what grate music...
ya i can do most of these in 10min also. thanks for the challenge tho, keeps my mind fresh!
...these downloads are really nice...!
I've been doing this too long. I've found all of them within 10 minutes or so. I was at this show and it was a good one. It will envelop you. Hint hint.
cursory look at the Deadbase tell me this will be hard to find.
I'm loving the 30 Days of Dead once again. Good fun playing the game with my handy Deadbase and comparing note for note the different versions through the years to narrow down my guess. I'm sure I'm doing well. Good luck to all. Thanks to the team for everything running so smoothly this year. I wonder if we'll be treated to a few "A" and "B" versions of some of the songs this year again, maybe even "C" for the Children who would not be good, goodnight, goodnight goodnight!!
I have to compliment the crew that set this second coming of 30 days up for doing it so well. I remember the horrors of the first installement - all the trouble we had to go through to get that sweet music. Now everthing is working "absolutely perfect" and I´ve had no problems whatsoever....Bless you people!
not a real fan of the shows from this year in particular, but its a pretty hot show. there are actually more pairings of these 2 songs than I expected. maybe there was something about "The Music Never Stopped" that made Jerry want to rock out a "Don't Ease Me In."
thanks David, another fine choice.
