Thanks for daily download. Why is not in FLAC format?
I would suppose that the file size would be too large.
Great selections so far. And I am sure the guys have these picks planned out all the way to the end, but I'd love to have a China Cat Sunflower >> I Know You Rider tossed in. Not only would it be a real treat musically, it would be an awesome challenge!
thanks again for the Scarlet Begonias...
This is the song that blew up my parent's speakers and placed me on the bus.
Live from the Mars Hotel, Summer of '74
That only took all day! And what a great day it was.
Now that's outa the way, I realize I'm in the minority here, How about some 94'and 95' representation in this or Daves Picks. A nice little box of 7/1,2,&3/94 or the Pyramid shows from 95. Who couldn't benefit from a nice dose of Days Between these fall days?
Scarlet Begonias for my birthday! You shouldn't have! It is Radio Karma on Dead.net.
I'm going with 2-27-77, Robertson Gym, UC-Santa Barbara
sure does sound like 76 though
Go Gauchos!
Just wanted to say I appreciate the occasional hint dropped by the amazing encyclopedias here. I don't usually have the chance to look at this until a couple hours are left and at least that gives me a fighting chance on the more difficult selections. Gotta like Phil's bass line on this one and give me more cowbell!
It's there.
I have listened to all the relevent Scarlets twice and still cant find it. Give up you say.... NEVER! This is sooo much fun. The ones that were released as a comp and not actually include a Scarlet are still being investigated.
A daily gift for thirty days, I'm so grateful!
Sound really good in synch!
I think I found the show and I've been bouncing around the room playing them both together!
Cant Forget that motor city cause all we need is music sweet music
Lovin' it....dancin' in my living room. Thank you for the great music!
Yay! One of my top 100 Dead tunes (for a while it actually held the #1 spot). Great rendition. Thank-you guys sooo much. You Rock!
are you joking... first you think they would make it that easy and second if you just looked on this website or the archive.org site you would see that there was no Scarlet Begonias in the 5/6/78 show (see below). the year should be easy... scarlet before there was a fire!
5/6/78
Sugaree
New Minglewood Blues
Peggy-O
Beat it on Down the Line
Loser
Looks Like Rain
It Must Have Been the Roses
Me and My Uncle
Big River
Deal
Samson and Delilah
Sunrise
Terrapin Station
Playin' in the Band
drums
Wharf Rat
Sugar Magnolia
One More Saturday Night
..please forgive me Your Heinous.
Actually had me going for a second, before I checked the above set list as well. Hehe. They're really fuckin' with us now!
Hey David! Thanks for the awesome treats so far! Amazing generosity. Do you think you could find it in your heart to release killer 94/95 versions of Lazy River Road and The Days Between?
I know whatever rolls out will be great
..when i downloaded the file name was sb5678.mp3. Hmm...5-6-1978?
that's what I noticed too, and then I said something. Then I researched the show, found no Scarlet on the date...and edited what I said hahaha
I am pretty certain I know what this one is but definitely not the dates mentioned thusfar.
I like this game!
wouldn't the artwork for 2011 30 days be volume 2?
and then maybe come up with volume 1 art for 2010?
regardless, much grass for the tunes for the ears and minds
thank you
I see where you're coming from but I think they were getting at the fact that there will be multiple CDs required to contain the music from this year's 30 Days of Dead picks. Instead of labeling them CD 1/Two/III etc., they're going to (hopefully) release several pieces of cover art and call them Vol. 1, Vol.2 and so forth. Let's just hope we get cool, new pieces of art each time and not just a variation on a theme. (Which might be cool too now that i think of it since it is pretty much how they roll anyway if you look at the Dick's Picks and Road Trips series.)
Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I'm looking forward to listening to these.
Nice job on the artwork this year. I like the dots.
I do wish you'd relax a little on the faux art nouveau typeface and use something a little classier. If you want it to look hand-lettered, hand letter it. Fonts that try to replicate it look like poop (mostly).
(stepping off of soapbox)
i've also got the tracks still up from last year at www.jambandseurope.com , including the 2 b versions. just click on the 30 days banner on the right bar.
Thanks for posting the link! I thought I was never gonna hear last year's picks.
Best,
Sam
Thanks for posting this link. I was left out in the cold last year. Process was just as easy. Took me about an hour to do them all! Awesome. Thanks again, and thanks to everyone at Dead.net for the gifts!
I'm guessing Patrick Gymnasium - University of Vermont on 05-06-1978
My pick, too. Great show!
...nice call. Thanks! ; )
All of the 30 days of 2010 are located here. There are some links for streaming and downloading.
The art for last year (not the one dead.net gave us) that I made up is located here.
Artwork 30 days 2010
And so far this year (I haven't had the time yet) I'll be making more.
For now you can use dead.net artwork if you want.

Love the cover critter, thanks!
Peace ☮
Anyone have last year's 30 Days of Dead (2010) downloads? I was deployed this time last year, and wasn't able to download them, Thanks! I'm really enjoying listening to them this year.
This Deadhead SALUTES you for all you've done for our country and the world for that matter.
THANK YOU!
,,,it was driving me nuts.
Does anyone have the list of the 2010 30-days songs? I'm not completely sure which in my Dead playlist are from that and wanted to organize them.
Hey, and any good artwork for last years'?
Thanks!
3 sources are needed - Deadlists, Deadbase, and Live Music Archive - oh, and some time to listen to them all!
And it can really be done with archive alone.....With the time to listen for all the hints and subtleties.
It may take some time to work through the origin of these songs with the tools mentioned. But it is well worth the effort! Very enjoyable! Have Fun!
Ed
I can easily tell the year, but which specific show? uhhhhhh...I can at least guess the month pretty accurately
there is a pretty big hint in the comments below. Good luck finding it.
i think its 08/04/1976
i love jerry's voice
smokin' version!!! love the energy..."she had rings on her fingers and bells on her shooOOOooes!"
about this game is listening to all the Scarlets - and when you find the right one, and the 2 streams match, it's heavenly :)
Zeb
love the KISS reference - great tune - about a once great (?) city ;)
DL does it again - thanks for the funky goodness!
Zeb
I don't know what date this is from hahaha
this definitely sounds like 1976
(Get up!)
Everybody's gonna move their feet
(Get down!)
Everybody's gonna leave their seat
~Kiss~
Thanks Dave! You did it again. An absolutely stellar Scarlet Begonias, (the only thing that would make it better is a great "fire" afterwords.)
For the person in charge, if you read this, I'm crossing my fingers for a Dupree's Diamond Blues to come out...
Peace, Love, and Grateful Dead!
