This two-disc set was culled from the Dead’s blazing fall 1979 East Coast swing, when the band was just hitting its stride with new keyboardist Brent Mydland. You’ll find killer versions of “Dancing in the Street” > “Franklin’s Tower,” long exploratory jams on “Playing in the Band” and “Terrapin,” a rattle-your-brain “Shakedown,” and lots more, all pulled from the master tapes in the vault and expertly mastered in HDCD for maximum power and clarity by Jeffrey Norman. The Bonus Disc, which offered another hour-and-a-quarter of highlights from the tour, has been sold out.

I am a member of this "new brand" of Deadheads and agree with you wholeheartedly. We want sets in there entirety!! I want the feeling that i am in the audience groovin with the future ma and pa dukes, not a bunch of songs chopped out of different concerts with different moods entirely. Thank you for your comment, you took the words out of my mouth.

i don't know... i just wish they would put the whole show out in its entirety, flaws and all.... i mean they took it off the archive... i'm scrambling to find all my fav's and download them before they take them off... i like the whole show together..
