Fence Hoppers ruined it for the Band
Seems like this was the year that a whole bunch of people just walked the fence to the ground and came in for free. The crowd opened up to accept them and immediatly closed back up to stop security forces. Amazing. Unfortunately, the Dead were banned from this venue but they would still allow Jerry's band or Bobby and the bassist to play there.

I think this is the show that I was so fried before hand that I got locked in a port-a-can in the parking lot. Thanks God I got out so I could see the show! Very hot Gloria to end it.

That's funny cause the night before I consumed more substances than I ever had, or ever did/will again. This was my 3rd show and one of many for me that year. I remember that Dear Mr Fantasy blowing my mind cause I was a long time Traffic fan. Also seeing the people waist high in mud who hopped the fence and trucked through the swamp to get in. It was also next door to the then closed Lion Country Safari, which made for some interesting day trippin. Flyin Eye of the Flyin Eye Project aka Dr-Gonzo on Undernet & EFnet
