    My first show!! and 2nd
Drove over to Syracuse from Burlington, to see the show with Cousin Patti. She was my pal and we saw many more shows together over the years. That night after the show we drove with about 4 other friends in a guys VW bus to Rochester to the another show in the War memorial the next night. Slept uncomfortably stuffed in the bus as it was really cold out in some state park near Rochester. I remember waking as day broke, cold and tired but excited to be with Patti and friends ready to see my 2nd show. It was so great. We got to Rochester with NO tickets needing 6 for all of us. We divided up 3 and 3. Patti, the bus owner and I we scoured the streets high and low. There were not any tickets to be found, but we persisted. For hours. One by one we found 'em. 1 here 2 there. We finally met up with the others and We said "did you guys have any luck?" With down faces they said "no we could not find any". At first we said we did not find any either, but then after a minute or so said "except these 6"! And we all shouted, cheered and danced. It was another great time.

Thanks to the blocking of Cosmic Charlie, I saw this one from the front row.

This was months before my first show (again, in Syracuse, but at the Carrier Dome). My old friend Rufo got a job doing maintenance at the show (we were SU students) and myself and another pal hung around outside, trying to spot him so that he could let us in. Well, he couldn't, but he handed us a shirt that he found with a pocket full of blotter. We could hear the music at times. A year later (after I was completely hooked) nothing would have kept me out of that show.
