WOW awesome day to get roasted..lol.
This was my first show at Eugene and I was blown away. OMG it was so hot that day that they had to break out the water canon and hose down the audience. Jerry was on fire that day.

My first back to back shows
Yes, Days Between and Broken Arrow were great. Much tighter than the day before. Too bad my honey only made the first show. Thanks Wayne and Mary Pat for the nudge.

The jumped into this one while Bobby was still fussing with his rig. Bobby's amp and efect system looked like an eraly moonlander and the whole thing went down halfway through Jack Straw... Bob has to stop playing to 're-boot' and Jerry proceeded to tear that solo six different ways from Sunday... it was out of control. It made me wish for more 'techincal dificulties' if they turned into solos like that!

From the mind blowing recovery on Jack Straw to Phil's uplifting Broken Arrow to the textbook Help/Slip/Frank to the trance inducing Dayz Between, this show totally did it for me...

Yeah, the Jack Straw extended Garcia workout was just sublime and a rare treat. Days Between was powerful and moving. Help/Knot/Franklin's had very few flubs and really cooked along. I SO loved shows at Autzen. That place somehow surmounted the "stadium blues" I usually get. It was not intimate, but was small by stadium standards at the time and the vibe was always so great in Eugene. No big nasty security, hardened heads, etc, it was always a great scene I will always cherish.

This was a tribal event. There were so many core people at this one, Mountain Girl, Babbs, etc. It felt like home. Autzen was up for grabs. There were huge tye dye flags flying around the perimeter of the stadium. It was absolutely sunny, and everybody danced their tails off until The Days Between stopped us in our tracks. This Days was a stunner, just gorgeous. I bought a bottle of Grateful Red wine from a local vineyard in the lot. My best friend still has it on display. There are very good boards of this show out there.

For the few years after 91, it became hard for me to speak of a run of shows or a certain tour that really shined. It came down to a 'show' or a set of a show, etc. As soon as I saw the date of this show, though, the Days popped in my head. Great, great rendition of this song- pure Jerry.

Broken Arrow was beautiful, I love it to this day, actually got these run of shows on cassette tape and wore it out listening to Broken Arrow over & over again! Thanks Phil! And thanks to the radio station that aired the show, that is how I came to get the tapes!

What a beautiful day, beautiful venue and great time in Eugene. Nothing like West Coast shows with seasoned Heads :) The mammouth "Let Phil Sing" tapestry up in the bleachers was a site to see !!!

My last show - if only we'd known...Went w/Jaz, John & Kendall from Joystick, stayed on the coast - drove to Eugene. Thanks, Kendall! When I got down from Alaska to shows in the 90s, I always tried to get over to the sound booth to tease Dan Healy ("more bass!") & give him his props for a stellar job. Seemed like a great guy. The sun was shining low in the west, and I assume everybody got burned on the left side of their faces like I did. Bob's Casio digital guitar acted up during Jack Straw and he took it backstage while the rest jammed. Someone who could see him backstage said he smashed it. How about a Guild thru Fender Twins miked into the PA, Bob? Yeah - the Let Phil Sing banner was beautiful - I agree.
