Mardi Geas 1992 - Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!
Sat, Sun, Mon, according to my calendar. On one of these three nights - if memory serves - the opening act was D'Cuckoo, a hot percussion ensemble of women, dancing around and playing big drums. They were good! During the break, some guys came out on the floor, split the crowd in two, and cleared a path that turned out to be for the Mardi Gras parade, as Mickey and Billy started up some heavy duty creole jungle drums. Then, the parade came out between us with some floats, one of which had a giant skeleton rearing up over it. As the parade passed through, the boys came back onstage, and went into Aiko Iko. Perfect! Gotta get some more versions of that song, and get some more verses. Once heard Jerry sing, "See that gal, dressed in red, Aiko aiko ah-nay. Betcha five dollars she'll kill you dead. Giacomo fee-nah-nay." (or however you spell that) and: "See that gal, dressed in green? That's my gal, She's a love machine..." etc. Good times! Another Bill Graham Production!

I'm makin a list a checking it twice, with no set list here, and a forum website showing only two shows instead of three, I was hoping someone could recall that 3 "Mardi Gras" shows were played in Feb, 1992 and what those set lists were? I saw the 1st and 3rd show, and did not get my Miracle ticket for the second show. I remember someone coming out of that second show and saying they heard a Black Throated-Wind......

I've got my ticket stubs for all three shows so they must have played and I must have been there! My memory isn't what it used to be, so unfortunately, I can't tell you what was played after all these years.

Deadbase.com lists 3 shows, but wasn't the Mardi Gras show always on a Tuesday? These 3 were Sat, Sun, and Mon. I can't even remember the 90's anymore...
