    2nd Show. Awesome Night

Full on Dead Head by this time. Anthem of the Sun and LIVE DEAD played millions of times. Dead were awesome. We were in 2nd row. Phil's bass was absolutely breath taking. Sons of Champlin also completely blew our minds, and gained us as life long fans to this day.

The first Dead I ever heard
Terrapin Station was my first album, but I was curious about the Dead when I was about 13-14. There was a great Long Island radio station WLIR that would play entire shows. I had this on a cassette for most of my life until I was able to get mp3s from archive.org. Pigpen is amazing on this and this might have my favorite Lovelight and Good Lovin' is as good here as anywhere. This was my favorite all time Dead recording until the Ladies and Gentlemen 4 CD set came out. (last show at the Fillmore East).
