This show was held on the day I was born, If anyone knows of where I could get a copy please let me know. I would love to have it...
i remember walk up tickets costing $3
I was in Lynchburg visiting some college friends and we decided to head over and yes the tix were cheap.
Nice night! I still visit Roanoke from time-to-time.
And I remember it well.
A few months ago I was telling my son about this show, as we listened to the GD radio show channel 57 on XM. Then I was in the car this past Saturday night, and they were playing this show - I freaked! I was glad to hear it, it had been so long ago, I did not remember the set. Of course I had just graduated from high school in June, 18 yr old in the summer at a Dead concert- no wonder I don't remember the set!

Three friends stopped my by house in Tazewell and proceeded to inform me that we were going to see the Dead. I will never forget the first chords of Bertha and Jerry in his black t-shirt. What an unforgettable night!!!

Location
This was my very first Dead show, and a mind-altering/life-altering evening it was! I finally understood my deadhead friends. Have a vague recollection of asking someone if Garcia was God halfway through the first set...he had this, well, mind control over everyone...taking us up, and out to space, and down, and back up again...
