Glen - just listening to this show and it sounds, to me at least, that Bobby changed the line to " HEY! T for Texas/4th Day of July!" I think he added that just for fun, not actually botching it as you surmise in your comment. No worries either way, what a fun show!

As we bobbed & weaved our way from The Summit in Houston the night before, (check the date on The Summit show I am pretty sure they were back-to-back or else I lost a day on the trip) we meandered into the horse race track in a jammed pickup truck with keg in tow, fully shroomed and so worried I was going to be left I camped at the exit gate until the last song of second set. I excused my way to the front row and stood right below Garcia for a superb version of Sugar Mags. Blew me away!
Sight guided two newly blind students from Austin with my girlfriend. Ate some acid and got to describe the fireworks in great detail. Big smiles all around.

Find the tape of this show -- it's worth it on many levels, but ESPECIALLY because of the "One More Fourth of July" encore!

PS -- Bobby Weir, who is the greatest, is also the only person who could botch the "Leaving Texas/Fourth day of July" line from Jack Straw while in Texas, on the fourth of July! Yikes, he's one of us!
