    1st show
I think I went with Bob C. I loved seeing shows at the Coliseum (other bands I mean). What a great time. I couldn't understand why more people didn't wanna go see the Dead. I don't think the place was full at all. The Coliseum sure saw a lot of grate Dead shows. This was the last one I think. Shakedown got the whole place in the groove and it was fantastic from there on through to Don't Ease. I loved Althea!

We were just off stage right.
We were just off stage right. Packed show, hotter than Hades and a hell of a time. Most fun I have ever had at a Dead show, I think.

    My first Dew...
My wife and I were right up front just a body or two from the very front, and it was incredibly hot and tight. About the end of Truckin' the heat got to my wife and she passed out. I dragged her off to the side so my first Dew was spent fanning my wife to cool her down. But I heard plenty more Dews in the years to come...

I was standing about 6 ft from the stage right in from of Jerry the whole night for this. You didn't dare leave or you would never get back... Take another step back! Flying the whole night too. Catching eye contact with Jerry during Dew will always be etched in my noggin. And it rocked!
