This was my first GD show also and my first concert to boot. Needless to say, no other band ever compared since. I was 15 and had gone with a couple of friends, also 10th-graders, from Bethpage High School. Best high school memory.

This show turned out to be a big hit. The music was really good. The crowd was large. The Nassau police were not happy to have DEAD HEADS in there neck of the woods. As far as I was conserned the party was over. From 67 to 73 it was great. Still is good. The DEAD were always better in smaller venues. They were still one of the Best Rock N Roll band ever. I Started on my new carear as a Merchant Marine, Working on a Ship, Traveling all over the Planet. A long way from the BRONX. I took the GD with me on the high seas.

II had taken the train from NYC with some friends out to Rockville Center where my uncle lived. He drove us to the shows and picked us up each night. I was fourteen and we all took the acid that was on sale each night at the show. I memorized the lyrics to "Box Of Rain" and was shocked when they played it!
