Then he went off sniffing drainpipes
1986 wow, what a great year, pretty girls dance in rainbows i sat back, just being here and sometimes being there and the then hushed quiet of the crowd now frozen caught between the sheets of them not knowing and i hear the words sung softly "They’re selling postcards of the hanging They’re painting the passports brown The beauty parlor is filled with sailors The circus is in town..." my best friend Mike leaps from his chair and turns to me, eyes wide and screams out "Desolation Row", I just look up and casually whisper "I know" later that same night we find ourselves devouring cheesesteaks at Pat's and chanting softly between each bite "wow, Desolation Row" Stay Tuned, Mr. White
