Bob Dylan at this show...
Bob Dylan was at this show to take the publicity photo's for the upcoming Dylan/Dead Summer Tour. They asked him if he wanted to sit in and he told them that he just wanted to watch a couple of numbers and then had to catch a plane back to L.A.
Quinn was the bands way of acknowledging him.
Thank you, and Stay In Touch!

Mardi Gras
The spectacle of the parade makes this memorable for me. I winced as the Dead tried (and failed) to understand the more traditional stylings of the DDBB on Iko. I never liked the Dead's version of that anyway and this made it so much worse. But the scene was way cool and I'd do it all over if I could.

Locations
My First Mardi Gras experience!! The brass band(from New Orleans) played with the Dead as a parade of floats giant heads etc made its way around one of my favorite venues. A very long Iko.The band was now in fine form and ready to begin touring again.
