Both '91 Greensboro Shows sensational start>end

This show and the next night to me are one big show spread over 2 nights sounding more like the band that played Europe '72 with the Grand piano and vocals , They were definitely the best shows I saw in the post Brent era .I went to Atlanta and Orlando and they were average which was really good but Greensboro transcended time we were transported into the moment it wasn't 1991 anymore it was just then or now then in that moment. .Atlanta and Orlando they were back in 1991

    Smokin' Show
What a turn around from Nassau, the boys found their spark. Its name was Bruce Hornsby. Didn't know what to expect from the guy who was famous for "Mandolin Rain" and "The Way It Is", but he didn't disappoint. Smokin' show from start to finish. Might As Well… nice. Eyes defines the second set, absolutely stellar. Really high energy post Drums, no Jerry ballad to slow things down. At the end of Around & Around, Bobby ran across stage, whispered something to Jerry, ran back to his spot and busted into Johnny B. Goode. I've always wondered what he said to Jerry, I imagine something like, "We're totally rockin' balls, we can't stop now!" But who knows… these shows are truly diamonds in the rough, and there certainly was a lot of rough…

now that I am a tad older and wiser...
I have to really wonder if this wasnt the last "great" show where "IT" really happened for me.I remember being so dialed in to every note and every note was pure bliss. It has been hard to stay objective over the past 15 or so years, but I think as I come to terms with the music, this really was the last truely magical show I saw. “The Omnipotent Grateful Dead!”

Super-long EYES, then double-Chuck on Easter Sunday! The Around and Around had a neat dixieland style jam from what I like to call The Phil Lesh Double Quartet featuring two drummers, two guitarists, two keyboardists, and one PHIL! ". . . Music is the best!" (fz)

The best I've EVER heard their voices! A fantastic 'The Wheel'. They even sang a little a capella!Liz

Loved the song selections and the versions,.,,,Agree with all the prior comments. 1/2 Step starts with a bang and it never lets up. One of the premier First Sets of Modern Day Dead. The Eyes is WAY up there. Was just a very special night of music and experience for me. Eyes is a Philler on DP18 for those that dont know. Cheers! JG “The Omnipotent Grateful Dead!”

This was the best Eyes I have witnessed live. Unfortunately, I had to white knuckle it back to Georgia so I missed the next night even though Bruce was egging the boys on and they were playing Dark Star at the start of The Wheel . I knew they would bust it on April Fools but have no regrets. The energy of this show made up for it 10 fold! Peace - DMD.

Came to show from Raleigh with buddies Brian & JimBo with no tickets. G-Boro cops were Hell-bent on cracking down on scalping. Paid $40 for a scalped ticket just as the cops swarmed in. I had a pair of hemostats in my back pocket that I flung away as the cop was asking me to empty my pockets and he never saw them. He kept yelling in my face asking how much I paid for the ticket and I kept answering face value, face value. Finally, he got tired of not being able to break me down and said, "aw it's a counterfit anyway" and let me go. Ticket was real and the show was great. This was right after G-Boro expanded their colesium to over 20,000 seats. The drums session was crazy in the concourses. What an awesome second set.
