    Must've been in the air....
I called this Dark Star, as well. Not before the show like Will's buddy Matt, but as Corinna was ending. Jerry left the stage. Once Jerry left the stage, he never came back ~ the others would jam a little, and slowly follow suit. I happened to be behind the keyboards that night (in a rather lifeless section, I must say), so I could see Jerry walk halfway backstage and light a cigarette. Then I said to myself with all certainty ~ he's gonna smoke a cigarette, come back on, and do Dark Star. Jerry smoked the cig, came back on, and did Dark Star. My only other real memory of this show (not a classic, at least in my trajectory) was the SMOKIN' Satisfaction encore! Worth the price of admission.

    Second night
While this is a good show, the DS and the Satisfaction breakout I felt they pured everything into the night before. Just my thoughts. Nothing to tell now, let the words be yours I am done with mine...

On the way into this show, my buddy Matt looks up at the Cap Centre and says, "They're gonna do a Dark Star tonight," and I'm like, "Get the f*** out of here," shaking my head. I still didn't believe him even during the Corinna jam when you could kind of hear it emerging. Then they played it, and I said "Good call." He did the exact same thing a couple of months later at the first night in Richfield, when we were walking in. I said, "You always think you know when they're gonna play it," but he was right again. Thing is, he never called it when they didn't play it. Must've been his third eye or something.

That show was special, and everyone who was there got a treat. Me and my buddy had tix to both Cap centre shows, but gave the first night tix to 2 other friends, choosing to keep the 2nd night. Glad we did. Outstanding 2nd set, great vibe in the building. Got ahold of some good doses for the second set and drove all the way home to Massachusetts after the show.

i went to this show solo (my crew had to a) goto work or b) goto school). met some very cool folks in the shopping center before the lots opened and in the lots. Saw my first "bad cop, no donut" sticker- it got a vendor out of a hassle b/c he had the sticker and gave two to da man. i remember being underwhelmed by the first & second sets (which, looking at the first, i don't know why). i knew it was bobby's turn for the encore, but had no idea what he'd play. never in a million years would i've seen the "satisfaction" coming.BLEW THE ROOF OFF! i don't think i heard a single word bobby sang since the place was screaming along w/ the song. that encore made the show for me. the ride back to philly was a breeze w/ the shit eatin' grin on my face...

This show sent me on a two week stint which included a trip from DC to NYC for St. Pat's Day, down to Philly, back to DC for a couple of hours and then straight shot drive to Miami then back to DC. It's amazing I can remember any of it ... The Lot scene at the Cap Centre was pretty cool. Lot's of good folks out having a grand time. I recall liking the Row Jim in first set. In the second set, I thought It Was Crime and We Were The Victims. However, once the encore came and the band broke into that famous riff ... all was forgiven
