    My 4th Dead show
Though my fourth show, this was my first with my twin sister, who turned me on to the Dead back in '77 when we were 16. I think that it was her first Dead show. Thank you Penny for a life fully lived!

    I wanted to Kill Bob
So the night before this show, I went to the Stones Steel Wheels show at Shea Stadium. I thought I was Keef and drank too much bourbon & passed out 3/4 thru the show. I awoke at the end of the show and realized I lost my buddy/ride to the show. (I lived in North Jersey) I'm walking outside the stadium on the road by the junk car vendors by Shea and I see Bob, Micky & Bill walking toward me. They hop into a commuter van and I follow behind Bill and flop into the back seat. (Bob is shotgun, Micky in the next row, then Bill, then me) Bob turns to the drummers and asks what they thought of the Stones performance, they both said yeah it was good. Bob then sees me and shouts - who the hell are U? I explain that I lost my ride and needed a ride. He tells me to get the Fcuk out! I try to explain that I'm a fan and will be seeing them the next night in NJ and I need a ride - No good Get out. Dick - where's the love Bob? Thus, I had to ride the 7 train back into NYC and get to NJ. The Dead show the next night was a somewhat crazy seen the parking lot with NJ State Police roughing up the tame Heads. I was telling Heads that it was Armageddon time and Weir was going to die. Needless to say they were confused about this statement. Bob I was just kidding and really didn't mean U any harm, but ur still a dick for not giving me a ride!
