    The Philo Stomp
This theatre was the host venue for Chuck Berry's 60th birthday bash, as chronicled in the film "Hail Hail Rock 'n Roll." Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and many others showed up and played a great gig there. Some wonderful shots in the film feature the interior of this hall and all it's 30's Movie Palace Granduer. Also featured is Johnnie Johnson, Chuck Berry's piano player (and also -I think- Ratdog's piano player from back in the mid- 90's as well. The Phil-led jam out of Dark Star is what is sometmes referred to as the 'Philo Jam,' or 'Philo Stomp.' Not uncommon to hear where recordings from the Fall of '72 are concerned.
