Bertha and Big River led off this fantastic Fall '73 show
This is a 5 Star show for one of the last Here Comes Sunshine, another killer PIB, dreamy, drawn-out China Cat -> Rider, Dark Star with sweet MLB Jam into an awesome Eyes and finally Let It Grow into GDtRFB with an UJB encore! This was the Good Old Grateful Dead at its best.

thoughts
1st set on circulating recording (sbd.vernon.14451 SBD A-) is Bertha, Big River, Sunshine, BT Wind, TLEO, Mexicali, El Paso, Row and Playing, different from what is posted above. There are numerous cuts in the vernon tape, and overall I'd say it is of A- sound quality, so an officially released version would be welcome. This is a great show. Sunshine and TLEO are the 1st set highlights for me, but everything is very well done (Bertha has an excellent solo, the Playing goes places). Set 2 is a monster from start to finish. China Cat (with Feelin' Groovy Jam), the Dark Star sequence (with MLB Jam), Eyes and Grow are all highlights. Great show, 10/10
