    War Memorial - Oct 1971
Drove up from I town in some old POS we borrowed, dropping 25 once we got inside the concert. Some folks were bumming (don't know if they got some bad A) so we talked and calmed and soothed them until the Dead started playing, then the music seemed to re-set their energy and focus, and lift them out of their trip. After our good deed for the day we cruised and buzzed and flowed (how else to explain?) to the music and people. We all stayed together, which was really an accomplishment for this group of 20 somethings, for the whole concert, all made it back to the car, the car worked all the way back to Ithaca, and we finally got back in time for class to start at Big Red - still buzzing, things still a little warpy, but still overflowing with that unique energy from a Dead concert.
