Friend left his tickets in the glove compartment back at a LIRR station parking lot, he missed the whole first set. Bumped into him during Drums and he said I came in during Women R and what did they open with, told him Shakedown, luckily from Space on the Beast was released and we all left walking on air. The after party was amazing, Harry Popick grabbing me and saying you have the kind, come with me, table service from Hells Angeles, I know that will never happen again.

    I remember that!
I remember Weir saying that about levitating Jerry! I was trying to remember what year it was that I flew from Houston to NY to see the Dead at MSG, '87 or '88, and now I know, thanks!

When Shakedown began and that Bat Signal like spotlight came on, I knew they meant business. The Dew...you never forget your first.

I remember hoping that the refrain from Bird Song would come back around, just because I knew the song could not be over. I hear ya on the Dew. To this day, probably the best I caught (with some serious competition) and arguably up there with some of the best I've ever heard. Jerry gave it all he had.

In the days before cell phones and crack berries, you had to hit the public phone to check to see whether your wife was going into labor. Despite that distraction, I recall the show was very tasty. Some thought it cheesy, but I dug, and still dig, the La Bamba insert on Good Lovin'. The baby arrived 11 days later after 13 hours of labor and spent the night in the newborn ICU w/ the babies of crack whores from east harlem. God bless us all. Bamba, Bamba!

The La Bamba was predictable and rocky, but the Morning Dew is clearly the best I ever heard in person. Magic.

Due to a screw-up I missed the whole first set. Oh, but what a a second set! The Watchtower > Morning Dew were over the top. Best Morning Dew I've ever heard. They were on fire.

Due to the mysterious disappearance of my friends I found it really hard to be fully present and enjoy the show to its fullest. Bob told the audience that he was going to levitate Garcia. I remember a great audience reaction to the unexpected La Bamba that was slipped into Good Lovin' Looking back the Morning Dew is unbelievable and is possibly the most powerful version I’ve ever heard. Wow. I was there!

That Morning Dew was like Jerry taking us on a rollercoaster. I had never heard or felt such emotion from the band....from full tilt jam to so amazingly quiet, Watchtower---->Dew, and then Knocking on Heavens Door. I got a bookleg right after the show and it sits in the player (cassette...lol) in the car all the time.We miss Jerry
