All I remember about this show was being mesmerized by Iko Iko into Dew into Sugar Mag. Didn't even recall that there was an encore.

Iko>Dew especially when they werent doing Iko. what more can i say, thats never been done again in their history as far as I know. Anyone know where to find crispy boards on the internet??

The Night I got on the Bus

What can I say but It all began here. It will continue till I am dust. The Dead was everything I was looking for at 17 and still relish today for my quality of life. This was also the year I met Buckminster Fuller and the two realities meshed well. The music that night helped me see and realize what life libery and the pursuit of happiness is in the adventure of life. Whoever says Go to Heaven was a crappy album is all wet for it got me here and further that night in the War Memorial.

Right In Front Of Jerry

This was probably the best show I've been to. It was general admission and I was lucky to get right in front where Jerry was. I mean 10 feet from me. And to be treated to Iko->Dew->sugar mags WOW!!! And to top it off, on the way out Jerry almost ran right into me going into his limo. What a long strange trip that was.

Great Sugaree!

My second -- and last -- show in Rochester at the War Memorial. Drove in from Buffalo with my brother, and my brother's roommate. A great solid night of music. Too bad most of it is missing from the vault. Loved that space into Iko into Dew. Iko, once again, was very laid back. It's amazing to me how the Dead were able to lay way back on tunes most bands would play much faster. The ability to take one's time is vastly under-rated. I was also very much into Go To Heaven during this year, and it was very pleasing to hear these renditions of Sailor, Saint, and Althea.
