Summer '1980

saw this one, cleveland the week before and springfield - loved the set lists of of Cleve and Roch - these were some crazy FAT shows w/ nice surprises and the Comes Time in Cleveland as well as the Dew in Roch are arguable 2 of the best versions of those tunes....

I'm so glad to know I wasn't the only one who thought that ...it seemed seamless and uber awesome and all these years later will be a standing memory !!! IKO > Dew > Sugar Mag then played for a good long while !!

it keeps comin back to 9 2 80

this needs to be released somehow. this show doesn't get the credits it should. the playing by the band is exceptional. I remember thinking how the hell can these guys come out to play an encore. I'm Spent!! on this night the moon the stars the sun and the grateful dead were all aligned to create an escape for the audience that sent us to another dimension. that dead zone is kinda recreated by listening to the recordings. The good ol grateful dead...
