real fun tour the fisher semi's were parked just behind the stage,,lots of good memory losses,, w thos e syracuse college kids,,i was still in high school learnin2bcool
Santana opened the show
You sure about that? I don't think so.
My dorm was across the street. I then hitchhiked up to Buffalo to see The Who and The Clash 2 days later.
Definitely no Santana.
A friend freaked out on L after the show and we had to keep him surrounded in the parking lot after the show so he wouldn't hurt himself. One of the best china/rider's I ever saw. I agree no santana.
Santana did not open the show that night. One of the great things about Grateful Dead concerts, starting in the 70s was that you very rarely had to tolerate an opening act. They gave you real value for your money - two sets of the best rock & roll band that ever set foot on a stage.
We came as crew from Oswego to this show all meeting up and Dancin'. Lots of space at the Carrier Dome but Carriers air handlers could not handle the tourching that went on that night.
Great show and half empty venue. If the four way isnt' in the way I believe The Band opened up which was the first openr I had seeh since The Good Rats at Holender stadium in Rochester 79.
