    sick 2nd set
my friend Ned, who road-tripped up from Delaware with me, and I couldn't stop talking about the 2nd set after this show. Actually, it was more singing -- to the tune of Yellowman's Zung-ga-Zung-Gugu-Zung-Gu-Zeng - about "Bucket-Fire-Rain-Terrapin/I need dis tape or I go insane!" and on and on. Great show, great atmosphere (the hallways outside the 1st level might have been the funest and most insane dancing scene I ever participated in at an indoor show - though they got more energized the next night...) If I remember right, it rained like a tropical storm during the long walk back to where we were crashing that night, but we didn't mind.

This was only my third show this year, I ened up taking a two year break from dead shows, and I took a punk rock bike messenger girl from Boston to the show.It was her first show and she said all her punk friends said she had to do acid to enjoy the show. I shared that was a "urban legend" and we could still have fun if we did'nt. We were all decked out in our black attire and it was quite the culture shock for some of the faithful. During the break some trippin kids seeked sanctuary with us because they were punks who followed that advice. The first set is very good, with the 1/2 Step being played extremely well. The second set was a blast too. I really loved Black Muddy River.
