Road Trips Decades
I 'get' finding(2nd time this has happened with RT series) a few copies or was this a strategy? And......big question of the day, out there. Regardless of the Road Trips audio, sans bonus discs, that will be released next year, does anyone know what the physical run was for each RT issue? I get that some sold out. But, lots(?) -Is 4.4 back with a fury?- are available and, if you look in the right place, you can still score a few RT's, sealed with bonus for @$35. I get Dave's Picks, limited 'physical' releases in general. Can anyone, Marye, fill in the holes for me? Gratefully -mick
I stand corrected -- I ordered two previously "sold out" discs and just got a ship alert today that they are on their way! Looks like they actually did restock most of the previously sold-out titles. The only three that appear to still be sold-out are Fillmore '70, Boston '76, and Cal-Expo '93. April Fool's '88 is available, even though it still shows as sold-out.
Better move to fill in your collection while these are still available. Many of the same titles are selling on eBay for >$100 right now.
Hi Claney -- it looks like the formatting on the main Road Trips page is messed up. If you click on individual titles, you can see which ones really are sold out. Seems a bunch more are gone now after the 20% sale. Not sure why the labels on the main page are jacked up. I temporarily got excited when I saw some of the long sold out titles apparently back in stock. Big disappointment when I tried to order!
Sorry to hear about your issues guys. What IS up with the Road Trips series? I was expecting even more of them to be sold out after the Thanksgiving sale (so I bought the Summer 71 release a couple weeks ago). Now most of them no longer say sold out. Were they restocked? If so, why did people have their orders canceled, etc... I bought quite a few when they were coming out, but there are a couple more I would like to get (but only if some kind of clarity could be provided in the site about this status - I don't feel like going through a customer service debacle at the moment ).
BTW, the second disc of the Summer 71 release, the long Other One jam sequence, is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. FAR exceeded my expectations (whereas the Dark Star on disc one, oddly, made me go, "meh")
Looks like the 'While supplies last' was accurate. Most of the Road Trips are long gone. There are a pile of them on Ebay. If you need one for your collection, better get it now while the prices are decent. A few years from now the prices will be really high. The Road Trips series took a lot of heat over the years from many. I like them all, some better then others but its all Dead. Vol.3 NO.3 is my favorite. The Bonus CDs in this series are really good too. They are now high value collectors items. Thanks Dave for all the Road Trips, the long strange trip continues.
send me a PM with your order details and I'll see what's up with this.
I spent a lotta downtime over Thanksgiving weekend trying to get a 'cart' together to use the 20% off discount. Yesterday I finally pulled the trigger on several standalone Europe 72 discs and a few Road Trips. This morning I get a notice that my entire order has been canceled and that the items I wanted are "unavailable." Frustrating enough, but when I went back to try to select some other items, the items that were canceled from my order are not listed as 'sold out.' What gives?
Thanks, for your 'take' in regard to my last show. Get a life.
Wow, kind of harsh for Vince and the boys, but I do know what you mean and I agree. It was like when they would pull out Push toward the end of the first set and you had to listen to Jer's personal whimsy for a few minutes and then resume with Let It Grow to end the first set, or something similar.
Battery acid in the greek yogurt? Yewww!
Just a little bit of "Samba" spoils the entire batch! Kinda like mixing in battery acid to Greek Yogurt...
