Unfortunately, GDTSTOO was a little late in providing the opportunity to mail order for the Phil & Friends / Black Crowes show on 10/5/08. Tickets went on sale to the general public through the Ticket Bastard on Saturday. I did take the opportunity to prepare my mail order envelope (and I had a lot of fun doing it) in the event I got hosed by TB again. I did get a relatively decent seat, so I did not use my mail order, but I figured I would go ahead and offer it up for others' enjoyment here.

Front Row at the Creek!

I about sh*t my pants when I opened the envelope with this ticket in it. I just could'nt believe that they sent me front row at the creek. I always assumed the reserved front row tickets were saved for VIP's and stuff. I had seen several shows in the front row at GA shows but never had a tix for one. I think I was the first person in the venue that day haha. The guy in seat 5 showed up shortly after me and he got his ticket through mail order also. We were stoked and it was a great show too boot.

Grateful Dead in Albany

The Knick was such a fun place to see the Dead, with Albany being notoriously friendly to the band and the fans, a sentiment fewer and fewer cities were displaying towards the whole scene by the early 90s...

This show was relatively uneventful but well-played. I never particularly loved this era, I felt like a lot of the fire left their bellies once the band settled into life without Brent and got over the initial glow of playing with Hornsby...

My last Dead show. The scene was a drag with lots of gate crashers and a lousy performance by the band. Dylan was great, though. In fact, this set made me a believer in him again after almost ten years of seeing him give really uninspired performances...

This is the whole original ticket for the Veneta show that was cancelled due to Jerry being sick. The ticket was returned for a refund and GDTS sent the ticket back to me with the 'void' stamp on it along with a refund check! I wish I had kept the refund check because it's not everyday you get a check from Grateful Dead w/ a logo on it!
