Just like your favorite jam, things are going to get a bit funky on Dead.net over the next week or so. Community accounts will be temporarily closed October 16th-17th and may be under further maintenance through October 22nd. But rest assured, we will be back up and better than ever shortly thereafter. Stay tuned!

Mike Damsky had turned us all on to the Dead and now they were in Iowa City. With the New Riders. Ticket prices, 2.50, 3.00 and 3.50. I have a memory of Bobby at the mic with cowbow hat on singing Me & Bobby McGee and the show ending around 1am. Just the first of many shows to follow. It's great to be a Hawkeye!!!!
A night for Iowa. In front of Jerry and all. Need to review the set list but I do believe Loser was huge for me. All the friends were together that night!
Mitch had an 8mm camera and a few cartridges of film. We got there way early to get tickets and I think it was Jordy got a notion- he acted like we belonged there and tried it out on the flunky at the door, "We're the film crew from Chicago and we need to get some shots of the hall before the people come in." Flunky wasn't sure but asked the famous producer who frowned, but said, "Sure let 'em in."
Good thing, too because I was broke.
