a movie and 30 Days !
a perfect November so far.
was literally listening to yesterday's show until the stroke of midnight, because Jerry is just shredding !
this one will be more fun to track down; i have to check the keyboard sound.
as always, i am extremely happy to be back in this place, especially after coming home from our movie night. that was so good !
it's great to see all the names from these years.
greetings to all the family, and thankfulness to everyone making this happen.
A day 1 repeat...and we're off & running today
I love these rollicking China>Riders. Looking forward to chasing this one down.
For what it’s worth, day 1 started us off with a repeat from 2013. I hope it’s the 1st and only repeat, but chances are we’ll see a few more. No complaints here—I'm grateful for all that's given!! But there are SOOO many to choose from in the vault, I’m truly just bewildered when I see a repeat show up.
Yes
Could have been daunting but once again the fading moments narrowed it down considerably. At first I thought it was different Bob song but luckily there weren't many times for that segue. I listened again and, oh, it's not the ballad it's the 14. That's the length of the melodic phrase.
Speed/sync issues again.
#TOMORROWNEVERKNOWS
Any guesses as to what tomorrow’s song will be?
Figured it might be a fun little game to predict what gem will be passed down tomorrow. We each make a guess for what the following day’s track would be.
Maybe tag #tomorrowneverknows with your pick for the following day.
My pick will be: Tennessee Jed
Bobby song is my guess,…
Bobby song is my guess, weather report suite
I had it... but
I thought it was this show, but couldn't find the venue in the dropdown list so I picked Hampton 5/4/79. bummed...
Venue names
Yes venue names can be tricky for example my answer for today I almost put down the wrong venue because it has multiple names Associated with it As options.
A big thank-you to Dave Lemieux!
Just want to thank you Dave for yet another great year of 30 Days in November! I have enjoyed these 30 Days since they began and really appreciate your work here...
Americans only, eh?
Too bad you have to give an American address to participate in this thing - looks like fun. I could kill it from '67 to about '83, and then Jerry is too damaged for me to listen to..
One Kind Favor...
Looks like I'll have to search the comments for a clever hint for Day 2. My head is swimming with China-Riders already...a few were close but nothing spot-on yet!
Thanks folks!
30 Days of Dead is the best thing about November - Thanksgiving a close second (~);-}
I had the year straight away. It was from the prime of my college touring days! Love this era. Also one of my favorite two-fors. I love searching for the sound...
From easy to impossible
Jerry's voice and the keyboard player narrow it down to only about 485,000 China/Riders. No problem.
I wish I was a headlight…
I went in one direction when I should have gone in the other. But I figured it out. Thanks for the birthday greetings.
A Doozy Today
had fun searching for this one today, positive i nailed it and am 2 for 2. Not bad for a young head thats not the biggest listener of much 80s/90s other than the big shows and official releases. Excited for more 🤙🏼
Look for a while
Look for a While, I certainly did!
Lord, I could not take my rest until I found the right show
But like a double-e waterfall over my back, the notes rang clear.
After listening to about 40 China Riders
Good luck all. If you got it, you earned it.
Flic of the Bic....
lighter sound helped me to find this one. It's right before Phil comes booooming in at the very beginning of China Cat(I believe just before the 8th beat???).
Speaking of this version of China Cat, the interplay and jamming among the band members during the 3:00ish - 6:21ish mark, particularly how the lead guitar, piano, bass and drummers weave in and out and around each other I found to be some MIGHTY FINE jamming INDEED! Bobby's certainly there too(and just xactly perfect i'm sure), but I can't seem to hear him well on this version.
MIGHTY FINE and MIGHTY GRATEFUL.
Listening to 7/29/88 Set II
My 1st Cali show. Grew up in OH, moved to VA in 1988. This is MY FAVORITE China Cat>Rider…I was 20 back at 10 feet high at Laguna Seca that day. Also, my 1st “day show and my 20th show since 1981. But……it’s NOT today’s pick

Fun search. Tidbits...
Hearing little keyboard notes that came up at the same time so many times to accentuate a certain part of a verse. Hearing the way the 1st and 2nd gtr solos start up and build. Fun ride as always! Enjoy!
Guess for #tomorrowneverknows
I’m guessing tomorrow’s track will be an early 70’s Tennessee Jed. Even though Passenger is technically a Phil song it’s predominantly sang by Bobby so I feel like there’s a chance for a Jerry song next.
The compression of these…
The compression of these files are audibly different than versions available on line, which makes this a bit more challenging to verify the match. Still it all really brings be back to those days when we hardly missed any shows within quite a distance,
A Favoorite China>Rider
Not the pick for today, not a hint, just thinking back on past shows attended and thinking of a favoorite China>Rider (too many reasons to post here): The Hult, Eugene, '84. Ok, now a hint, and while I think I gots the right answer, I've been known to miss a couple here 'n there, but if you don't want a hint, do your best not to read furthur: "Schlemiel! Schlimazel! Hasenpfeffer Incorporated!"
