Maybe my first first try ever but opened right up to this one.
How many more bloomin' awfuls are we gonna get this year?
Zeroed right in on it after having listened to similar banter from another show just three days ago.
Seems to me that in prior years the cover art was available earlier than this. Anyone know?
Yeah, they're not really pushing the 30 Days this year like they have in the past. The cover art is only found in the image carousel at the top of the front page. You can find it pretty easy on my DeadRoots site - It's at the top of the Daily Tunes section. Click on the tiny image and download the bigger image that pops up - it's 1750px square and I upped the DPI to 300.
I just poked around and it's here, too:
Wow that one was easy to narrow down.
I listened to more of this one and it qualifies as a great moment in this year.
Lots of other good nuggets in the sets.
This era is an important transition period.
He got busted the day before when they got into town...just wondered if he got off with a fine or spent some time in jail..either way, The Show MUST and Did Go On and Man!..ya gotta LOVE these shows..the sound of Youthful Exuberance!!
I've long said that a box from this tour is warranted. A lot of great shows, and there should be great recordings. There's a boot box, so why not an official one?
I was really pheeling the Phil zone on this beautifully polished recording. Thanks for the phall phreebies DeadNet!
Fantastic versions of two of my favorites. Thanks!!!!!
That was easy for more than one reason. Nailed the year after a few moments of listening. Had to do a double take at yesterday's winner as my name is Adam and I live 20 miles from Syracuse. Close but no cigar.
"Hold on, gotta fix something...".
That "slight technical bummer" may have been a blessing in disguise, leading to a fairly unique sound in some of the following tunes.
This show was a real discovery for me, a period with which I was pretty unfamiliar, with the band really getting it together before the monster tour(s) the following year. And I have to echo the sentiments of the Phil Phans - the fullness and impact of that bass is just awesome - and lots more to follow later in the show, with some interesting, unexpected (for me at least) transitions. A show that I'll be listening to in the years to come for sure.
Thank you, Dave!
I could listen to this all day. Love the banter between songs in this show! Sounds like Jerry had a cold. Thanks Dave!!
I realize it has been discussed, but I really wish the hints were more show specific. I don't understand the point of these "hints" when the song is already known. Oh, well.
Yeah most of them basically are useless, stating general facts that already are widely known. Oh, well....
Look out, look out, another easy one on the 30 Days.
Good thing the band didn't quit their Day Job and try comedy...
Thanks for the gimme tonight Dave,
I'm Gonna roll back down & get all my stuff done, before I Run and See what else my wife wants me to do...
had me feelin groovy...
but unfortunately not for very long....
back when 1st sets were quite often longer than 2nds...
I have been playing this game for years. In the introduction paragraphs it says, “You know your Ables from your Bakers from your C's”
As long as I can remember it says that. I have no idea what it means...
Please shine a light on it for me 🌞🌹🍄🍊💡
