"Here Comes Sunshine" was a major jam vehicle for the Grateful Dead throughout 1973, and its first line became the title of the first record on the Dead's own Grateful Dead Records. It disappeared in early 1974, and reemerged in late 1992.

You're old enough some people say
To read the signs and walk away.
It's only time that heals the pain
And makes the sun come out again...

Once I heard a few back & forth from this date I knew it had to be this one. That guitar fill after the first chorus with instruments (2nd chorus if counting the intro vocal only chorus). That nails it. Harmonies are nice here. Not bad. The comparison recording was just a little off in speed (and not as full sounding as the one they are giving here on the site today). Thanks!

There is a segment in this show that reminds me of Pink Floyd's "Shine On..." Very listenable.

more than a few sound pretty similar. had me wondering. but then to reanswer the question below as to how you know you got it, when you hear two that totally match, you can hear you got it. all question removed. you gotta just wait til you get it exactly perfectly right.

Reminds me of my win last year with Standing on the Corner/Mindbender.........all the syncers/professional listeners claimed it was a November 1966 show.....it wasn't, so don't be counting all them chickens before before claiming victory. I been enjoying my calendar this year from that 2/23/1966 show.

I know I've stated this sentiment in past years but a heaping vault full of goodies and we get 2 days in a row of tracks from... well, just ARGH. Found this right off because argh.

I do like this song but think the 70's arrangement is far superior. For fun, and I guess to be 100% certain, I got it to sync beautifully with a FOB audience tape all the way through.

Yes, just another picky Deadhead.

They always do a selection of songs throughout the 30 years within 30 days each November. In past years they may have lingered in a certain decade or era at the beginning days of November. But they always offer a pretty even assortment of the years throughout the event.

Probably one if not the best little Jerry riffs from the 90’s for this song. Pembroke will always be a gold record though!

the voices..and That 'Sound'....I knew the year...only a few had the right timing.
As we all know....it's an amazing thing to be able to go back thru past years to listen to the evolution of these songs..
the incredible amount of recordings that continue to reveal so many amazing shows and the 'nuggets' within them. So happy to know...THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THE GRATEFUL DEAD..(~};-}
Contain the virus..wear a mask..PLEASE!!

Jerry slides right into that scorching hot solo. Vinnie way on top, and killing it. Sick pick. Those shows were such a blast. Best sounding arena I'd ever heard.

HCS - Dave's selection is so much more resonant than audience recordings on archive - distinctive acapella entrance during this tour, and vibra/xylophone. And I repeat myself for clue, "Venue's history is interesting, it's not the same (name) today as it was way back when." Saw Elvis Costello and Dylan here, could be the worst acoustics I've ever experienced, but this place wasn't designed for sound. Free concerts down by the river in this city were more tolerable.
