Since when are official releases fair game for 30 Days? I always thought it was unreleased ones exclusively.

    Mind if we call you....?

To avoid confusion? I don't know if they were joking below or not hearing that certain type of instrument here but... it was not that person from the Old Dominion in the band on this night. Electronics vs acoustics.

There were some gems this tour. The background vox nice on the "Help on the Way" "Ooohhs" parts

    What?

I missed yesterday, first time this year, because I didn't hear BH, but I was also trying to rush through the process for other reasons. So I listened all the way through today with my noise cancelling headphones, for a very nice experience. Excellent Help>Slip>Frank (Eyes? lol maybe tomorrow) even for the later incarnations. Went through the archive as usual, found the date and location and input my daily entry. HOWEVER, while searching the archive I saw a Music>Sugar>Music opener that I never heard of before, second of two for that matter. Love November to get me out of the comfort zone and see what the world has to offer!

now Eyes is a trio? wt??
oops....mislabeled....actually help~slipknot~tower

that'll really throw off the noobs. chances we get a juicy eyes tomorrow? that'd be cool.
that turned out to be a fairly quick search. that was a nice 20 minutes. guess i'll keep listening. sounding good so far

That's why I nabbed China>Rider on 1st try yesterday. Checked my handy-dandy not-so-secret source, and there it was, callin right to me.

Dear David, I was going to gripe about the duplicates (like Day 14’s China > Rider) and ask you to offer other songs from those same shows, but I did some research (and even a little math) and am now here to praise you. According to my records, there have been just 14 duplicates since 2010. That’s a third of one percent (I think). Well done.

Thanks for doing the math!!!! Excellent observation. i was down on the duplicate yesterday too, but then I realized we want the best versions of our favorites and everyone of them is as different as snowflakes..... So give us more "Candy APPLES ON THE MOON"""

Sorry Shin but you're way off. Including this year's 4 so far, and also those paired with a non-repeat, there have been 29 repeats of songs previously released on 30DOD through the years, starting in 2013 with New Minglewood Blues 2/24/71 (released in 2012) and Uncle John's Band 2/11/70 (released in 2010).

I chose the wrong chronological end so had to listen to a lot of shows but it was a relatively easy one once I got there.

Well, I have the show nailed down…but they did not play EOTW that night. I’m guess I should submit the date due H>S>F. Mmm…wait until Dave’s merry pranksters correct the error? But which way would the correction go? Fix the song and hint or fix the title?

I submitted for Help Slip Frank's. A case where we should be following the spirit of the law, not the letter. Our founding fathers would approve in this case BTW.

Was so happy when I found it I sync-ed each part of the trio to a different aud tape. Gets played on Sirius a lot or at least somehow I seem to hear it often.

Took awhile (there was a version from a completely different year that started quite similarly, but with different instrumentation) so I was surprised by this one - in a good way. That middle section of Slipknot! is the standout for me. What a smooth but layered escape! Then we get blown back home and "roll away" in rollicking fashion. Yeah babe!

I’m counting 26 duplicates since the beginning, 2010. 4 of them this year.
like some of us here, I don't mind much. it just always surprises me since there are SO many others to choose from!

Grateful Dead song combination, finishing with one of my all-time favorite GD songs. It really had me moving this morning, so a tip of the ol' cap to whomever came up with today's choice. Synced up it makes for some real value added listening. But it's really some tedious work getting them synced up just exactly perfect, for me at least. Well worth it though and thanks to those who've mentioned that style of listening here before.

Betcha eye know what tomorrow's song will be;}

To those 1st time winners, of my 3 wins, the 1st two came automatical after the 30th. My last win I had to contact dead.net and they directed me to contest distribution. Was told they were out of Calendars, but sent a 2 CD Madison Square replacement. Still using the cards from earlier years, though getting a little worn. Won't say, but it might help me in a few poker games!
