"Minglewood" was in the repertoire since 1966, and aside from its early 1970s absence, it was included in the Dead's live setlists for decades. "Touch of Grey" debuted in September 1982, and became the Dead's highest charting single when it was released in 1987

i listen to the whole track before opening Deadbase to the correct show, just to soak in the music.
because there have been some softballs so far. Bobby even gives away the location of this selection.

for sure
but also for sure another three piece of tasty nuggets. with the in-betweens left in tact and everything.
fun listen
btw if you got spare time there's a show on this short list of shows that's totally worth a listen. the one before this one

Hahaha Sooo true about the giveaway by Bob (although it is not totally clear what he says if you do not already know)!!
I enjoyed the years Jerry was playing with the MIDI, my favorite years will be always be the decade from my first show in 79 to 88, though any day with Jerry and the boys was a great day for me.
I am also loving the current incarnation of Dead & Co., The Halloween weekend at the Hollywood Bowl, especially Sat & Sun were for me the best of the 21 Fall tour (even if Billy needed some rest).

This is a gimme, but careful folks. Bobby offers different choices on the two most obviously giveaways. Dave’s throwing us a slider! And hey Hornsby! I forgot to say hi to you yesterday!

Obviously, always an easy clue in Minglewood to track this one down ,but you still have to do your homework.

I had a great time the night before. Only show i saw on that tour. Saw at least 1or2 each year at this venue for a 5 year stretch. The intro keys help to nail down today. Long tune up in the middle of things.... Still waiting for the impossible one to ruin the 100% ave

That is, shall we say, interesting news. I am 1) excited to see it and 2) sure I will be annoyed with it. But thanks for the heads up.

To my ears, Jerry's playing during the 3/29/93 show is superb: delicate, relaxed and lovely. I pulled up the Lazy River Road from that show, which is particularly nice. I then downloaded an AUD of it and am really liking it. And I'm surprised. Pleasantly, but still surprised. Forgive me, but I assumed they had pretty much lost "it" by 1993. A groundless bias I now admit. My touring days began in 1979 and ended in 1985 -- in dismay over Jerry's condition and playing. I just could not watch any more. Too sad. I now know that I missed many good shows from 1987-1990, and assumed that after Brent died good shows were a thing of the past. I was wrong! So, what other 1993 shows do you all recommend for this 59 year old "newbie?"

Hey sshindell,
If you liked yesterday then you must hear 8/21&22/93 Autzen stadium. And for another sweet LAZR, Dave provided one for us here on 30DOD a couple years ago. It's my favorite version, though 3/29/93 had me singing along too.

That was a nice easy listen this morning and try not give away years. Other folks just got to poke around!!

No spoiler there. You didn't reveal anything that wasn't already known. Soon as a new day's page is given, 30DoD shows the date & venue for the previous day. So you were right—Day 17 was a done deal. The date for Day 17 was revealed on the 30 DoD main page this 'morning' at midnight (Day 18).

The penultimate hint...............if you're into that sort of thing. Thanks Bob!

And if you're still out there somewhere and listening,

THANK YOU Mr. C.M.!(you all know who that is).

Many of these tracks wouldn't even be worth a listen without your skillfull manipulations.

I do not know what is grosser: John Mayer playing Jerry's music on a stage or Jonah Hill playing Jerry's character on a screen. At least I have 30 Days of Dead to look forward to.
