Some days we get a repeat....and some days we get a brand spankin' new one. When push comes to shove, Dave drops us a first timer for 30 DOD. Woo!
Thanks, Dave, for them all! These two are a rockin' and a reelin'. Tinkling keys and Jerry solos to glide upon out into wonderland.

2 in a row and 16 for 18 not bad. Not a song I thought I would ever be deep diving but here we are, Yvon

..but the same old place - or is that the old same place? "It's out back, here's the key" -- those of a certain age and temperament will know what I mean. Any other fire signs out there?

Brings back memories... I bought my first car from Ralph Spoilsport. Loved the chrome fender dents.

Today's selection has me reminiscing of a show attended where the band broke out two new original tunes into the live repertoire. Nothing like a 6 tune break out in Portchester '71, but always a conversation starter nonetheless.

Welcome to 30DoD, Push! First time getting one of these in the lineup. Yesterday's quick search got my hopes up but, alas, it was a repeat from '18. That makes 4.5 repeats (25% of the 18 Days so far) this year.

Solid Push and a Music Never Stopped that culminates in an excellent Garcia jam and lots of great tinkling piano. I developed a real strong appreciation for this keyboard player in the last several years. Sadly, I don't think I fully appreciated him in real time, but the more I listen, the more impressed I am with his playing. He made the band much better and is part of why I prefer Dead from his era.

This is not a put down, but "When Push Comes to Shove" reminds me of a Huey Lewis song written for a movie soundtrack.

It's all down to that guy in the crowd near the stage mics HOLLERIN' right at the start on today's offering. And the intro keyboard notes to Push. Saw some great shows at this venue. Not this run though. Was in the next town for the next run tho.

Just how I feel most days in November.
But it's too cold to get outdoors this early anyway.
Small number of possibilities helped today.
Double checked with a second source.
Speed was a little off on the 1st try.
Onward and Cheers

Isn't it great when you wake up feeling all knocked down and beat up like something gave your ass a kick and then you hear what Dave and Co. have shared with us today and all of a sudden you find yourself singing, dancing and grooving happily through your otherwise humdrum daily routine with a new and positive sense of purpose? This DeadHead certainly thinks so. Thanks for the good medicine Dave and Co.!

one of the things i love about 30DoD is when Dave posts a song that i never really enjoyed much, and it's a version that makes me gain a new appreciation for that previously scorned tune.
this Push is a perfect example. Jerry is on it, remembers most of the lyrics and the song is really fun.
of course, it also helps that today was an easy selection.
thanks Dave !

Thankful for this every November. Ready for the rest of the show. It's a challenging time hoping my divorce is finalized this week, sorry to share but here we are and you're my tribe in this musical adventure that has brought us all so much in so many ways.

They are most certainly a band beyond description.
Finding this duo shouldn’t knock you down or beat you up.
Lord, David is setting us on fire with all this great Music.
The Days are sure flying by, were they ever here at all?

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?

When Push Comes To Shove joined the setlist in December 1986, it would only stick around until July 1989. The Music Never Stopped, however, was around consistently since its debut in 1975
