hey eyes 43 i appreciate your research but it still doesnt answer the question of why or when we are gonna get a shoe fits. lol
i had the opportunity to hang out with vince backstage at a festival in the early aughts, and he relayed both the joys and anxieties of playing with the dead. i don't remember much, but he sang a killer shakedown street that night.
If The Shoe Fits
I hear you! Well, a few days left this 30 DOD! Speaking of Cal Expo, here’s an incredible sounding audience source (amazing really) of the Shoe Fits debut on 6/9/94 ... a Rex benefit too!

happy to have this trio in the old collection
and then there were three...
We can discover the wonders ...
Ringing that blue bell in the morning sunshine for this one.
I had one of those flashes like I’ve heard this sequence before.
Don’t tell me the band didn’t have no heart during this era.
Happy Black Friday. Sometimes you just have to learn the hard way and let all those deals pass by. Only 3 more Days....😒

This big scoop of Dead today tastes even better than yesterday. Did I ever tell you all that I love leftovers? All the same flavors here. There's a lot to digest today but I got the taste buds to sync up with the juices and aromas coming through quite nicely.
Thankful for the generous portions Dave is serving up this year. Could be the "longest" year yet after all?!
warmer upper
Brrr a chilly 6 this morning with snowmaking at the the base of the ski mountain. Thanks for the 3 treats!
Thanks Dead.net
For this Deadicated clip! :-)

RSD
Was up early to go to RSD, so a treat to hear this. Prob the earliest I've ever submitted. Glad this one didnt take too long. The Garcia Band w/Bela, and Blows Against The Empire are our 2 Jerry contributions @ RSD today.

I caught this a couple of times, could have had three but they went into Women R in Buffalo 90, the next show at Deer Creek in 90 was a barn burner. Come on really make us work how about a Me & My Uncle. Berlin 90 was one good set after another.
Check out the Sugar Mag->…
Check out the Sugar Mag-> Scarlet->Fire from Hampton 03/22/87
YES! This builds up nicely
You bet! They start out calm then build it up. I love this version of this combo & whole show!

Recognized it right away. I was at this show, as were most of my friends. This run would make a great release. Thanks, Dave!
Turn this up loud!
Thankful as ever!
Smag>Scarlet>Fire
30 minutes of bliss.
still thankful
gotta say once again that i am so grateful for this holiday ritual, a chance for peace and joy with some excellent tunes and great company. warms my heart to see all the old regulars on here every year.
thanks again to all involved, especially Jerry & the band. also thanks for today's great chunk of music, an easy and worthwhile find.

saw a few ... first thing > not Keith or Brent .. .. then only a couple in. ... score
30 Days of Dead
that is fantastic this year..... already twice german locations, now only the city "Essen" is missing in 1981. back then i saw and "heard" the DEADS for the first time
Steffen, 1981 Germany
in the 1981 fall European leg the Dead also played in Munich and Ruesselsheim
Cheers G.
Midi madness....
or a full on flautist during Scarlet. Sounded pretty fine to me. Was actually at this one. Got there late, left broke, but enjoyed the hell out of myself. Does anyone remember seeing a 10' tall Gumby walking around? Freeeeeked my tripping brain out completely. A mighty fine time indeeeed!
Thanks to all!
Dave especially, but to also everyone involved and all who keep coming back and making the start of my day so enjoyable.
