Love to you all, and much thanks to Dave and all the others who make this happen every year. It arrives so quickly and ends way too soon…
Time to make the Pecan Pie with chocolate graham cracker crust- ENJOY!

The keys are on fire for this show.

Took me a while to track this one down due to my old DeadBase.

Very thankful for the Grateful Dead and their generosity to allow fans to record and share their live shows. This unselfish act has transformed many lives and will continue to shape generations to come.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

GO PACK GO!

Bertha has been my favourite GD song since I heard it in 1971, but it doesn't seem to feature on 30DoD anywhere near as often as eg LLR or PITB. Also, why does each new 30DoD seem to have 20-25% tracks that have appeared in previous years?
Finally, I've never seen GDTRFB, is it an official policy not to include anything that may not be an original?

Fun search today. Was stuck for a bit but kept going. Grateful to not be at work. My partner said "What are they blaming on the road?" I said "What the hell are you talking about?" They said "Blame it on the road -- the last line of that song"

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thanks Dave, well played today. Without a location identifier from Bobby in Minglewood (he evidently didn't start doing that until later), we are flying without controls today. I managed to land this bird at a location one stop away from where we've been before.

Have a grateful and peace-filled day.

They were throwing hundreds of joints into the crowd from the stage. Wishing everyone a very peaceful and joyful rest of the week. Pie's in the oven and the house is filling with the aromas of the day. The show is queued up for a sweet opener. I have a pie to check on and then the rest of the day with family on my favorite holiday of the year. Bread stuffing still on the agenda, then turkey and some American football. Music is set now. We'll get through these time!

The Grateful Dead are, above all, a "shotgun ragtime band."

Unless I missed a previous post that was edited, I don't see how smellow's statement is an answer. My interpretation is that his favorite live year is somewhere between 1965 and 1995. Peace to all and enjoy the day after Green Wednesday, which I had never heard of until yesterday.

My Deadbase seems to be failing me today. I think I know the era and Jerry's guitar here but the choices are limited and I've gone through them all twice.
Cheers
Edit - Never mind, I got it! Good thing others had said that Deadbase wasn't working for them or I'd have been at this all day. Not that that's a bad thing, lol. Gonna give this a full listen. Happy Thanksgiving!

I was thinking this month was a good example of why one needs Dead base which I don't have. I found a bunch of stuff this month simply using this site, searching stuff I was having trouble finding. Setlist FM lines up all songs the band played number of time by year and shows but clearly isn't perfect but a great place to start.

This is tougher than I thought it would be. I was sure I had it, was syncing up nicely, but then Jerry’s lyric flub wasn’t there. Huh?

Edit: ah, yep my old dead base VII as well as setlists.net are wrong. Nice curveball Dave!

Bit of a twist in the DB records for today's show, which doesn't happen very often, amazingly. Knowing the era, there weren't so many shows that checking each one didn't take long to find it.
And what a show!!!.the song list & EVERYONE'S playing!!!!...except for alot of tuning

Tomorrow I'll be there in the snow waiting to get my RSD vinyl fix. GD, Old and in the Way live at Sonoma State, some of the earliest tapes of Jorma that his wife just found in a storage bin. Of course a whole pile of jazz records.

I paced the halls and climbed the walls tracking this one down. But I am mighty thankfull for all the crisp, clear soundboards I got to peruse along the way. Short and sweet Minglewood and a nicely jammed out version of ROR. I especially appreciated the keiyboardist's contributions on both these numbers. Happy Thanksgiving y'all!

Always a hoot! Grateful for the fun and games and tapers! Once I found *the show* today, I cannot wait to return and give it a full listen - what a set list! Thanks again David & Co.

We should ALL know by now, the Internet Archive (.org) contains SO MUCH of this music we LOVE and is what makes 30 Days of Dead possible, so, don’t we have an obligation (and our own self-interest) to keep the Archive up and running for many years to come?… to show our appreciation by supporting it with even a small donation…give Thanks on this Thanksgiving Day… and by the looks of the Dead & Co shows at the Sphere and Golden Gate Park, oh, and the merch too…Deadheads can well afford it.
And, I think that just as Dave has THE Big Vault with the actual tapes...the Archive is OUR vault, and I imagine wandering through rows of shelves stacked with tapes of UNBELIEVABLE Grateful Dead LIVE music (THANK GOD for the tapers & the tapes!!)
Yes, WE have access to ALL of it on the ARCHIVE and it would be UNFORGIVABLE not to honor THIS BAND BEYOND DESCRIPTION and knowing that so many of their shows over so many years will…NOT FADE AWAY...Not Fade Away...Not Fade Away… Never Fade Away!
Hope you all enjoy the Holidays. Remember...RESIST!!

Today, I learned to not always trust DB. Had the era, but the one that stood out didn’t sync up with the slight Bobby vocal mumble. I’ll admit I saw another clue here (which isn’t true, btw) that put me on the right track (and it’s a place I could get to easily by train),
