I scored 100% on this year’s 30 days, with 3 of the last 4 days being first guesses. Thank you for loads of fun and grooves. And thank you for introducing me to so many news jeweled cuts.

As I was playing 30 Days of Dead
Had a sneaky suspicion there was trouble ahead
Went the other direction, to check a couple shows
Maybe a delusion, sometimes you never know, never know
Jerry’s voice and Bobby’s tones were the clues
Phil’s thumping his bass like he invented the blues
I made my selection, the Dog Star was the key
Another end to November, so much music for free, music for free
Well it’s time to bid adieu to all the fine folks,
Here on this forum from coast to coast
Can’t forget the ones playing from overseas
Been a pleasure to share this space with such ease
Only 334 days….till then.

30/30! Thank you to all that was fun! 30 days flew by as usual. Knew what year it had to be right away. The slight mumble vocal variation early on gives the exact show away. Great lead guitar tones going on in that 4-5 minute range into He's Gone wow! Phil Fuzz and almost too overblown volumes on the recording, but not quite, for the intro into Other One. Again wow.

Heh... looking at the "flight plan" for the months before and after... What a year, what a time. Crazy schedule.

The "echo echo no Pigpen" poster still cannot get it through their head that Alligator was one of the songs this year... ha ha... oh well. Can't please 'em all. Nor lead them to the cool pool of information to drink from neither.

I did overlook Alligator as the lone Pigpen tune this year. Please forgive me. Guess I should just be happy for that. To be sure, I am very happy that Dave gave us a fat Alligator this year. What a treat! I would just like to see more Pigpen representation because I think he is straight fire and because of the roughly 6.5 years worth of Pigpen Dead in the vault. That is all.

Thanks again for everything, Dave Lemieux. Take care everybody. Until next year...

Peace,
smallz

A last sweet combination to close a great month. Thank you so much as always, to Dave and team for the great recordings, to all of you for your thoughtful and enthusiastic posts. I always enjoy the journey and end with my list of shows saved to carry through the next few months. Take care and wishing you all a happy and peaceful new year!

Hard to believe it's ben 16 years of free music by the best band to ever rock America. How many hours of FREE music does that equate to? More than we deserve that's how many. Here's to 16 more

Great one to go out on! He's Gone: Garcia's Slurrppyy guitar-ing and the beautiful cacophony that is TOO. Having spaced out on November 1, 2 + 3, then stumped out for another three (Casey Jones!), puts me at 24/30. I think this is my 6th year of 30DOD and I've figured out to NOT read comments till after I've made my guess. Can't be distracted. Just me, my ears and Re-Listen...and er, another new app I've found which would burn off both yer lil ears... (my dead base 50 is westcoastal and I am midwestern so this thing was similar to DB50)
THANKS DAVE L and the Dead Netters for gifting us this free music and fun November activity! THANKS to the Boys and Donna of the Band and the Sound folk and Tapers, etc!! PEACE ALL! PEACE ON MAMA EARTH. PS: to the winners: i won a calendar last year----Dead Net is on top of it, so everybody HANG LOOSE...

Thank you again for a real good time. Been playing since day one in 2010 couldn't think of anywhere else to be in November. Wishing all a Grateful holiday and a Yetay New Year.

I'd like to echo the deep appreciation of all those involved in making this thing happen every year. So thankful to have gotten on the bus and continue to share the ride with this unique community of wanderers that are not lost. May this music continue to be a shining light in all our worlds for many more years to come. Peace, Love, Music and Resistance. Until next year is Coming, Coming, Coming around!

Thanks again Dave and the Grateful Dead for this wonderful gift every November!
The final song -He,s Gone- went straight to my heart this year.
In October my brother and long time Deadhead traveling companion and tour veteran , Greg Briggs, passed away. The very first thing I did after he passed was play He’s gone for Greg.
As I have done when other deadhead friends and Jerry and Phil have passed
Grateful Dead music will always be the spiritual lift I turn to when hard times come.
Thanks again all

I musta missed it. Clue an ol' head in, willya? Ok...now I see it! For some reason, it wasn't displaying when I first put this comment on. (but at least it got me to update my login info...heh). Happy Holidays, Heads! Remember! Jesus loves you the best!

Going to miss the hunt. Hints this year were very helpful and gave me time to take in the shows. It's five or six years running, maybe actually 10 but they all roll into one, in which I can get almost everyday without missing. Maybe one day I'll see my name selected?

See some of you on instagram and facebook Dead pages. Happy Holidays.

I wish the full download at the end of the month included a file with all the dates and locations of all the cuts. That would make it that much easier to tag the mp3s.

He's Gone debuted in 1972 and was played every year until 1995, aside from 1975. The Other One was around since 1967, and remained a connection to the Dead's primal, psychedelic era whenever it was played. Thanks for joining us here in 2025. See you next year!
