Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1970, 1979, and 1981.

Our first stop this week is in Kirkwood, MO, on 5/14/70, where we have this very unique, and excellent, jam featuring a whole pile of terrific Grateful Dead music: New Speedway Boogie > Nobody's Fault But Mine Jam> New Speedway Boogie > Saint Stephen > Not Fade Away > Turn On Your Lovelight.

Next up if the music that came before and after Drums and Space, plus Drums and Space, from 5/5/79 in Baltimore, on Brent Mydland’s first tour as a member of the Grateful Dead. From this show, we have He's Gone > Drums > Space > The Other One.

Lastly this week is the trio of songs that ended the first set on 5/13/81 in Providence, RI, starting and ending with a song from Jerry’s first solo record: Bird Song>Let It Grow>Deal.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.

I love Pigpen's little comment at the end of Lovelight 5/14/70. This was a few months after the New Orleans bust.
