Week of July 1-7, 2019
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we celebrate Canada Day and Independence Day with Grateful Dead music from 1974, 1977, and 1992.
Our first selection this week is the 3rd and final music palindrome of Playing In The Band>Uncle John's Band>Morning Dew>Uncle John's Band>Playing In The Band, performed 3/23/74 at the Cow Palace in Daly City, CA, at the debut show of the Wall Of Sound.
Next is the very cool, very inspired second set from the middle night of a three night run at Winterland in San Francisco on 3/19/77, where we have Eyes Of The World > Space > Dancing In The Street > Wharf Rat> Franklin's Tower > Sugar Magnolia.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from the penultimate non-US Grateful Dead show, from 3/20/92 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, where we have Shakedown Street>Man Smart>Dark Star.
Thanks for joining us, and we hope you have a terrific holiday this week.

Jerry four-peat
Can't remember hearing four Jerry tunes in a row at a Dead show, Bob wasn't even teasing anything before Sugar Mags, with Jerry finally busting out the riff. Maybe he was getting tired of singing
