    first time

8/10/82--my first introduction, ever. good-ol cassette. friend showed up to our group in the park with a boombox as kaleidoscopic diamonds were showering from my sky, and threw on the second set. Absolutely bamboozling and immersively safe. That space>iko is still my hands-down favorite.
still remember the handwriting on that tape label.

    Wrong links in Tapers’ Section

The links in this week’s (Feb. 15th) Tapers’ Section point to the selections from last week, not the selections listed for this week.

Next is the first set from opening night of the Dead’s final three night run at Red Rocks on 8/11/87, where we have Cold Rain And Snow; Little Red Rooster ; Tons Of Steel; High Time; When I Paint My Masterpiece; When Push Comes To Shove, Let It Grow.

Lastly this week, we have the start of the second set from the final night of a three night run at Cal Expo on 8/6/89, where we have Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain; Samson And Delilah, Ship Of Fools, Man Smart (Woman Smarter).

As several people have pointed out, the links appear to take you to the shows David has mentioned, but click each URL and the link for the previous week comes up.

So, for example, clicking the link for the 8/10/82 show brings up last week's sequence for 8/4/71. The same is true for the other links listed above. They bring up a corresponding show from last week's Taper's Section.
