grateful
for another gift.
this might be my fastest ever !
Only one choice
If you find the clue that I found, you'll clinch this one on your first try.
Oh mama...
A smoke-filled room in a corner basement
The situation must be right
A bag of goodies and a bottle of wine
We're gonna get it on right tonight...
Oh, run me!
Took a few minutes to comb but found it. Had to bend my ear a little extra on this one. Definitely a few definite clues in this particular version that really make it stand out though. Really love this track!
I’m a truck driver getting up extra early to do these before I start my route daily. It just so happens I’ll be driving through this particular city here very soon this morning. What a nice coincidence! Well I gotta get ready to keep truckin’ Happy Searching!
I ain't going to be treated this old way
Love the way Jerry sang this faithful tune
Shouldn’t be too difficult if you spot the clue
Good luck all
Guess - Internet Archives not allowing playback?
Complete guess based on what I heard at end of song as to what I thought the next tune was going to be??? Could have just been a tease? Only happened once in year timeframe I was searching
Tuning!
I totally agree. I searched for a bit, but then just listened for next song, and there it was in all its glory! I love Jerry's vocals on this. He bellows out a few times.
I ain't gonna be treated this old way!
Play a little game of "I can name that tune" before you go, and all will be revealed!
my favorite years
just because i saw the bulk of my 135 shows during this chunk of time. and looking through the songs it appears i never caught rain and snow. freaky
none the less found this one on first pick just out of dumb luck because i just happened to start my search with this show.
those were the days
He Ain't Gonna Be Treated That-a Way
I had a somewhat hard time with this one largely because the "hint" is misleading.
But it's a very nice, tight, Cold Rain & Snow indeed and Jerry was really feeling it.
2 days
Two days in a row with a major hint at the end. I used it yesterday but avoided it today and still got it on the first attempt. I was at the show the day before this one, recognized the sound, nailed the year and started from there. Can't wait for tomorrow!
super easy but….
i can’t find it !!!!!!!
looked at the dates to see years played only a few times, listened and know which configuration, or set of years, started listening to openings from those years…..nothing. expanded to all from that configuration….nothing.
gonna have to leave the palace for a while and come back and start fresh as i must have missed it.
it worked yesterday. i took a break, came back, and there it was.
If only it was a video i would get it instantly as i remember most shows more by visual cues.
just got owsley 1968 johnny cash cd so i will give that a listen
peace to all

Here's A Hint
Take the hint with a grain of salt. Apparently Dave suffers from polydactyly.
See how it feels in the end
Ouch....Jer's voice is trashed by the second set of today's show.
In the sweet by and by
Think I'll come back here again
Every now and then from time to time ;-)
@fourwindsblow
I think I will, too. And perhaps even sooner than later.
Haha Fool
Polydactyly…I see what you did there…👀😂
Ohhhh Mama
That one was a challenge.
But you’re not done yet
Once you find it, a conundrum awaits.
Conundrum?
I found it but missing the problem?
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet”
As one of our searchmates wrote a few days back, 'unnecessary venue ambiguities are dismaying.'
Jerry's voice
I was at this show and Jerry was so frustrated by his failing voice late in the 2nd set that he slapped the microphone down with a loud thunk, and cranked his guitar for more soloing instead.
A nice hint at the end
You can tell what song comes next if you're good...
Saw Dylan last night.
Didn't play this one, though.
Dylan
@messiahmoose I was at the Dylan show last night too!
Love me some cold rain and snow!!
I got the Memphis Blues baby!!
Another gimme
and another show I was at and taped. Actually was at every show this tour and the year before. Peak of my touring years. But I found after seeing whole tours there can be too much of a good thing. There's no place like home.
It had to be you........
like the song says. But speaking for myself, I LIKE the way I've been treated this month, and it's not even the treats month! If you think you're stuck, just listen to the music play. Jerry sounds absolutely jubilant in this version. And I love that BIG BEAT the percussionists are laying down. Amazing that this song is still going strong after over half a century. Transplanted in many different times and places, but it still sustains!
And thank you to the veterans of our armed services on this day for your service to our country.
Not Stuck Any More
I had trouble figuring out the song that you can hear at the end, but I didn't let it get me stuck too long.
Although I think this is a great....
... Cold Rain, this show gets mostly very bad reviews on the websites. And if you're having trouble try not to get stuck inside of this song too much.
Maybe the women really are smarter...
I pecked around on this one for far too long. I think I eventually got it, but some of the comments today nearly led me astray! I was confused, and I listened to the music play. And play, and play, and play, and play, and play... You get the picture. Cheers!
Familiar Cold Rain
This cold rain sounded very familiar at first so I knew the specific era right away...but it turns out it was the next time they played it after the version I was thinking of (which was officially released 25 years ago).
Slam dunks
Some real slam dunks this year. When is the impossible one coming?
Remember that...
Tumble down shack in Big Foot county.
Snowed so hard that the roof caved in.
Delilah Jones went to meet her God,
And the old man never was the same again.
Done for the day
Going where those chilly winds don’t blow…..
Not the usual hand of cards dealt..
Order Order! Cool to hear this one with some pre-charged energy. Chose one year to search and tried a few. Then I skipped 2 years in a different direction in time and found it shortly. The tell for me was Jerry's slight word mumbles on the 2nd verse. That confirmed it.
I love this song!
That 1st Album got to me big time. This is a nice tight version. Didn't get to see it performed live till 11/20/70, but followed them diligently when they played in my area till 1982. Once I started working overseas I didn't get as many shows in.
Again with the wrong way
I started with the show next to this one but then went in the wrong direction. Some day I'll go the right way…
A little Streak
That is a period when I was still seeing a fair amount of shows. It does feel so good when you know you got it. Boy do I miss those days and build up for the shows and that feeling when the music began to lay. Will see some awful good cover bands soon Hyryder and maybe Schwag in December.
Interesting 2nd set.
This show had an interesting 2nd set pre drums song selection. Might the only time this combo was played together.
You guys are funny
Now I get it, with all your "don't get stuck" and "I've got the blues" comments. A bit slow to the party I suppose.
And yeah, if they're grapes, it's a handful. If they're, like, baseballs or apples, more than a handful. Definitely a wee bit misleading. I think I could do golf balls.
I was at this one!
Finally a show I was at. Not a very strong one as it turns out. The fat man's voice goes downhill. I had a great time though. Some songs in the first set that were a treat for me. I remember laying in the grass outside at night listening to the geese fly over head. A mild night for early April.
