Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1985, 1990, and 1993, three mighty fine first sets.
Our first selection is from 11/2/85 in Richmond, VA, the night after the show that became Dick’s Picks Vol. 21, with the first set featuring Bertha ; Greatest Story Ever Told ; Dupree's Diamond Blues ; C C Rider ; Althea ; My Brother Esau ; Candyman ; Let It Grow.
Next is the first set from 3/16/90 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, featuring the first Black-Throated Wind in 16 years in this great first set: Let The Good Times Roll ; Touch Of Grey ; New Minglewood Blues ; Peggy-O ; Queen Jane Approximately ; Loser ; Black Throated Wind ; Bird Song ; Blow Away.
Lastly this week is the first set from opening night of a three night run at Rosemont Horizon on 3/9/93, featuring Here Comes Sunshine ; Wang Dang Doodle ; Loose Lucy ; Me And My Uncle > Mexicali Blues ; Broken Arrow ; Row Jimmy ; Eternity ; Liberty.
