Say Hallo! Bonjour! Hej! to the 50th Anniversary remastered version of the original EUROPE '72 album. Due July 29th, this 3-LP, 180-gram vinyl set has been newly mastered by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer David Glasser with newly restored audio by Plangent Processes.

    ABOUT THE TOUR
From April 7 to May 26, 1972, the Dead performed and recorded 21 live concerts, plus a set in a television studio, with every night being an exceptional display of the magic that was uniquely the live Grateful Dead. These concerts and this tour, 50 years later, are still considered one of the highest of high points in the Grateful Dead's performing career.

    Fuzzy/distortioin in Morning Dew

I purchased the 50th anniversary edition from a LRS a few weeks ago. When I finally got around to playing side 6, I noticed a loud static/fuzz sound that starts about 90 seconds into Morning Dew and persists for about 90 seconds. I took it back to the store where I bought it and they confirmed the noise on their own turntable and I was able to exchange it for a new copy. The new copy also had this "defect", so I returned it for store credit. I then went to another LRS and picked up another copy hoping the issue wouldn't be there, but it was there again. Is this a known issue? I have searched online for any known issues including this forum and on Discogs, but did not find any discussion of an issue. Thanks!

Leaving overdubs in makes sense, but the varispeeding is a bit of a challenge, for me.

Bought the new rerelease of the 50th anniversary of the 72 tour on FLAC download.
I couldn’t download it. I’ve noticed many others are in the same position.

    Europe '72 50th Anniversary Edition

The original vinyl from way back was a half step fast, for some reason. Like He's Gone in the key of F, not E.
Was this problem corrected on the new version?
