    10 23 73 Bloomington

Keith on piano is so ethereal, as usual. On the flip side his playing the house Wurlitzer organ on truckin and the Wang Dang Doodle Jam at the closing of the show. Was a sweet concert till Casey Jones. Talk about a bummer in the middle of the song. Followed by a 4 minute One more Saturday night. Their hearts just were not in it after the incident that stopped the show. Enjoy!

Week of February 3-9, 2025

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1973, 1983, and 1984.

Our first stop is the huge and unique second set jam from 10/23/73 in Bloomington, MN, a week after the release of Wake of the Flood, where we have Truckin'> Nobody's Fault But Mine Jam> The Other One > Drums > Jam > Weather Report Suite Prelude > Weather Report Suite Part 1 > Let It Grow.

Next up is the start of the second set from 10/21/83 in Worcester, where we have this excellent sequence of Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Uncle John's Band > Playing In The Band.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 10/20/84 in Syracuse, where we have Shakedown Street> Samson And Delilah ; He's Gone > Smokestack Lightning.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
