Week of May 5-11, 2025
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1974, 1984m and 1988.
Our first stop this week is in Chicago on 7/25/74 with the Wall of Sound, and one of the few Dark Stars from 1974, which includes and early Slipknot! jam: Dark Star > Stella Blue.
From a decade later, we have the great first set from 7/22/84 in Ventura, CA: Dancing In The Street > Bertha; My Brother Esau; Loser ; Cassidy; Ramble On Rose; Hell In A Bucket > Keep Your Day Job.
Lastly this week, heading up the coast to Monterey’s Laguna Seca on 7/29/88, we have the first set featuring Iko Iko ; Walkin' Blues; Candyman; Queen Jane Approximately ; Althea; Blow Away ; Cassidy > Deal.
