The Happy Jesus Man at the '94 Memorial Stadium Show

It was my first Grateful Dead show and as we streamed in, there he was, bearded and smiling, all calm and Jesus-looking and letting the crowd brush his hands as they passed. I did not brush his hands though because I thought it was strange that a person would stand near the entrance and just smile at people and let them brush his upraised hands. Then the music and dancing and experiences came and went, ah yeah, and in that Seattle Show afterglow as we streamed out, there he was again, the Happy Jesus Man, smiling at us as we all exited. I made sure to brush his hands that time, and I still have some of that good Happy Jesus Man vibe in me to this day.

    great show
Regarding the weather - June 13 was darn cold and wet. June 14 was incredible - sunny and hot without a cloud in the sky. The first show was much better and worth the shivering.

    Easy-going Morning Dew
I remember the songs and the scene, but I don't remember the weather at all. Second set was terrific, ending on a free-flowing, most easy-going Morning Dew I'd ever heard. Someone was selling Lithuania Basketball Team T-shirts outside the arena. They were cool, couldn't afford them though. Raising 2 kids, money was tight and getting 1 ticket to each Seattle show was a real stretch for us, but what the heck, I was into the Dead. After that Morning Dew, I felt, "Nothing can top that for me anyway," and offered the second show's ticket to my wife - who had coincidentally decided the Dead meant more to her than she thought, and wished shed' gotten a ticket! We dropped her off the next night and "listened in" on the second show from the camper's park next door. "Before you put a Hex on someone, stop and count to F."

These were the coldest outdoor shows I ever attended, especially considering it was mid-June. I remember I could see my breath during the second set. Loved the music though. DW

What a great show! It seemed the rain stopped just as Jerry walked onto the stage to play and it was beautiful the entire time. The sky clouded up and it began raining just as the show concluded.....how perfect!

Any hints as to if and where I could locate and purchase the concert poster for this show?
