Welcome back to the Tapers' Section, where this week we have music from 1972, 1981 and 1994, a nice variety of different Grateful Dead eras.

Our first stop this week is on the second leg of the Fall Tour of 1972, with music from 10/24/72 in Milwaukee, featuring the big second set jam of Truckin'>Drums>Other One>Space>He's Gone>Other One, Casey Jones. Although The Other One was often split by a cowboy song, this is a cool sequence with the split featuring He's Gone.

Next is music from the Europe '81 tour, from the Forum Theatre in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 10/8/81 where we have the start of the first set: Feel Like A Stranger, They Love Each Other>CC Rider, Cumberland Blues, Cassidy.

Our last sequence is a complete first set from 10/15/94 at Madison Square Garden, featuring Shakedown Street, Little Red Rooster, Stagger Lee, Black Throated Wind, Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues, Candyman, Easy Answers, Deal. The last few years of Grateful Dead live music often get a bad rap, but there was some pretty good music played on the Fall Tour of 1994 and the Spring Tour of 1995.

Be sure to join us next week for tunes from the vault.

They are an oasis, a refuge, from the crap we have to deal with in our daily lives. Work sucks, but it's necessary. The GD don't suck, and they are necessary for keeping me sane. Can you tell I don't like today? I ain't quitting, though. MORE GRATEFUL DEAD!

I always enjoy tapers section and Jam of the week. I am partial to 71-77 period but always enjoy listening to the 80s and 90s selections as I can forget how good these years could be. Shakedown is sick! Keep it up and thank you.

Really like the Stagger Lee and thought Jerry got into it on his solo. Haven't listened to much of this era but look forward to finding more gems like this one!
