This is a nice poster. Too
This is a nice poster. Too bad a recording of the show is not in circulation. Although Deadbase claims that Mickey Hart was absent, a contemporary news article reports that he indeed was playing at this show.

Jan. 21, 1971 UC Davis poster
By Jim - Pierce Prints: when I brought a copy of this poster by the Dead office in San Rafael later in 1971, a very nice lady was there running the office that day. Explaining that I was the artist who had created the poster, she replied "Thanks"and told me that it would go into the archives which is why you see it here online today! As I was also a Dharma student with Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche at the Tibetan Meditation Center in Berkeley at the time, I asked her if if would be possible to discuss with the band the concept of doing a benefit for the TMC and the Tibetan community in this country. She told me that at least two of the members of the band were there that day and "you can go around the corner and introduce yourself and discuss it with them". But, it turned out that Bob Weir was in a very foul mood and so it never was properly discussed (and so never happened). Bob, let me know if you need posters created for future shows, please. Thanks and Happy New Year 2009 everyone.
